My Muse

I entitle this photo, "Teething"....OR "Birth Control"...OR "Migraine"....OR "Where in the heck does the SNOT COME FROM THERE'S SO MUCH SERIOUSLY WHERE DOES IT COME FROM- BUT ON A POSITIVE NOTE SHE KIND OF LIKES THE BULB SYRINGE NOW WHICH IS A SMALL VICTORY OVER ALL THE WHINING AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I"M YELLING" .... or "Oh. Dear. God. How. Am. I. Going. To. Take. This. On. A. 5. Hour. Plane. RIDE!?"... or "Could you not totally eat those curls!!"

On a much brighter note, I have recently figured out how to make my pictures a little bit sharper. And have recently fashioned a light diffuser out of wax paper, so I can use my flash without it looking like, well, you know, "flash." This gives people that "glowy" look, as I'm sure you were admiring in the photo above. It also makes me look like an idiot, but I don't care.

EXCITEMENT!!!!

Ok, so if any of you have subscribed to my blog, I'm really sorry I keep republishing my posts... I'm tweaking my look, trying to figure out my settings for Photobucket, and I JUST figured out how to keep some of my picture sharpness when exporting to the blog... YES. This EXCITES ME! :):):) Here's an example of a before and after export sharpening....




Focus on the eyes! I feel better.

PS I am a perfectionist and I won't leave my blog alone until I'm happy. :)

Chloe

I LOVE this baby! For so many reasons. She slept almost the entire photo session and let us fiddle and poke and prod and hardly made a peep. Her mom is also one of my favorite people in the world. Thank you, Lori, for being such a good sport! And moving all your furniture around haha.

I wanted to share a few of the pics I edited tonight because she is just so sweet. First, a few disclaimers: 1. This is only my second time and I am still learning! 2. I haven't gotten my monitor calibrator in the mail, so the color may be slightly off. 3. The picture quality is lessened from Photobucket, so the sharpness is dulled down a lot. 4. It's 2am, so enjoy the typos. That is all.

I love this picture because she's looking straight at me. You can't tell, but her eyes are the clearest ocean blue.

Sunset Swim

From this point forward, I'll be posting my pictures to a blog instead of Facebook. The pictures are a higher quality and I can narrate more easily.

These were pics from last week. I'm mostly posting them to practice with the picture uploading process.....so here goes.

Most of these pictures were less about setting up shots and more about playing with light and creating textures with it.



I figured out how to make the really romantic light flood in pictures:





I messed a LOT with silhouettes and shadows.









And then just snapped some quick shots around the pool.







I can't wait til this is my job....
